I’m surprised by the breaking story I’ve just read on Yahoo! that Microsoft have just bid $44.6bn for Yahoo! The price is 62% above Yahoo’s closing share price on Thursday, which will be a hard for Yahoo’s shareholders to reject.

I think this is a really smart move by Microsoft. With Yahoo cutting jobs and its stock steadily sliding over the past 4 years. If this deal actually goes through then Google will have a major competitor.

I can’t wait to see what happens. I will keep you up to date on this story.
